Child Advocates of Silicon Valley

Reproductive Healthcare

Young girl smilingBackground

Youth in foster care are young people first. They have relationships, hopes, dreams, plans for the future and urgent needs in the now. They need access to comprehensive, science-based sex education, reproductive healthcare, and supportive, knowledgeable adults in their lives to help guide them towards healthy relationships and control over their bodies.

Unfortunately, teenagers in foster care are 10x more likely to get pregnant by 21 than teens outside of the system. The resources on the right can help our volunteers to support their advocate youth in making health, age-appropriate decisions.
