Child Advocates recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who work with abused and neglected children in our community. Each volunteer is matched one-to-one with a child and acts as a mentor, Advocate and caring friend for that child.Supervisor: Executive Director

Qualifications:
Position Purpose
This position manages our Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Programs and our Education Advocacy Program. The Director manages a staff of nine. As a member of the agency management team, this individual participates in strategy development, operational management and external relations. The Director assists and works closely with various functions of the agency in achieving agency goals and objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Supervise and direct staff involved in case supervision, from initial assignment of volunteers through re-engagement to retirement. Define processes, handoffs and metrics associated with interviews, assignment and re-engagement of volunteers. Provide case consultation and participate in case conferences with Advocate supervisors and Advocates, as needed. Develop annual goals and objectives for Programs function. Collect and report data, track trends and initiate appropriate corrective action.
* Manage performance, policies and procedures to conform program operations to National CASA, state and county requirements. Monitor changes in social services, the courts, and child welfare laws to determine impact on our programs.
* Participate as a member of the agency management team in the agency's annual budgeting and strategic planning process, and quarterly/annual reviews. Assist all other functions (recruitment, development, finance and volunteer services) as needed to achieve agency's goals.
* Implement new initiatives as developed by the agency.
* Represent the agency's point of view in collaborative meetings, as identified by the Executive Director.
* In conjunction with other agency staff, develop and maintain groups and activities to support, recognize, and appreciate volunteers.
* Participate in agency events, including training, fundraising events, and advocate/child activities.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
* Master's Degree or equivalent in directly related field of study
* Minimum of five years of direct management experience
* Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects of varying complexity, concurrently
* Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationship with individuals at various levels of responsibility (Board of Directors, community partners)
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule. Position requires occasional work during evenings and on weekends
* Skilled in use of Microsoft office products and use of databases
Desired Qualifications
* Bi-lingual, bi-cultural
* Non-profit experience
* Advocacy experience
* Direct experience in working with the foster care system
* Direct experience in working with the juvenile dependency and juvenile justice systems
* Direct experience in managing a volunteer workforce
